Oral and maxillofacial surgery deals with diagnosis, prognosis and surgical treatment of diseases in the oro facial region. It is the only field of dentistry which is directly associated with other branches of Medical and Surgical fraternity.
The department is attached to the general hospital with a capacity of 120 beds along with well-equipped major and some minor operating theatres.
The department of oral surgery has 35 dental chairs along with a minor surgical room, recovery room and a sterilization room catering the needs of the department. Moreover, it is enhanced with library and internet facility.
Our academic profile is constantly updated with national and international journals. Students and CRRI’s take up seminars and journal clubs on rotatory basis. They are also encouraged to attend CDE programmes and conferences.
